Shelf Support/Bookend - WAL
Modern Shelving brackets are strong, stylish and infinitely adjustable. You may place them at any location along the vertical channel of the Modern Shelving WAL standards. Slide the bracket up and down at a 45 degree angle and then lock into place at a 90 degree angle without the need for tools.
The brackets also work well as bookends due to the lateral stiffness. Therefore, they are referred to as Bookend Brackets. The typical design will use one bracket size shorter than the shelf bracket. For example, a 12' shelf will use 10" bookend brackets as bookends.
The WITH PIN option has a PIN on top shelf face which fits under aluminum shelf cuttaway to secure shelves in place but is not necessary depending on use and application. Some customers place a small hole in their wood shelves at the pin location also.
Can Shelves or Cabinets be placed at any height?
Yes, one Modern Shelving's unique design features is that shelf height and cabinet placement can be anywhere in the vertical range. For example cabinets can be set up high or low, inbetween shelves or at the top or bottom of unit.
Does the Shelf need to be attached to a wall?
Yes, for both strength and safety considerations we believe all modular shelving needs to be secured to the wall. Our system was designed this way for safety and strength and has 12 plus years of market design history and safety records. Mininimally invasive attachment kit included with detailed simple instructions.

How should weight be distributed across the individual shelves?
80lbs per shelf. We recommend placing your heavier items on the lower shelves of your Shelf. Additionally, we suggest evenly distributing your items horizontally across the shelves for maximum stabilty.
